On Monday I received a call from a woman who said she was interested in the church plant, and wanted to talk to me about attending our Info afternoon this Sunday. I was in a meeting so I asked if I could call her back in ten minutes. She offered to give me her number, but I said, ‘It’s ok, I’ve got it on my phone’. Dumbest thing I said all week!

When I rang back, I got a company switchboard – she’d called from work. I couldn’t quite remember her name – was it Lisa? No Lisas in the company had rung me! I gave up, with the awful feeling that I’d probably lost her. She’d think I didn’t bother to ring back, and if I was going to behave like that, why bother chasing me up?

So now I’ve learned (I hope) to say ”Can I call you back on this number?

If you are her, we’d love to get in touch.
