Easter Outreach Events – and how you can help

by on April 13, 2011

We’re pretty excited about Easter, it’s such a great mission opportunity. Everyone gets a holiday because of Jesus!

We’re running two events, and maybe you can help:

Friday: a dramatic presentation of the Passion, using Stations of the Cross.

Our team (with some help) are telling the Easter story at stations around the grounds of St Pauls, using story-telling methods we’ve been learning from Ando.

Sunday: a community lunch with lamb spit roast.

A celebration of Jesus’ resurrection for the whole community, including kids activities and lots of food and coffee. On the grounds at St Pauls.

We’re inviting everyone we know in Canterbury. That’s a lot of people by now!

You’re invited too.

The Friday event is cheap to run, but Sunday costs a lot. We want to have

  • Lamb spit roast
  • Kids Jumping Castle
  • Other food and drink
  • Espresso Coffee

Our estimated costs for the day are (gulp) $900. (We’re expecting a lot of people!).

We don’t have any money, but we’re going ahead in faith.

It’s the sort of faith where we’re looking for financial support.
