Australia day in Canterbury

by on January 27, 2012

Had a beautiful evening yesterday, invited a bunch of neighbours and a few of the church guys over for dinner and games.  10 adults, 6 kids and a baby, lots of pasta, a few beers, and we were set. Relaxed over dinner in the back yard. Thanked God for Australia.

Some of the neighbours hadn’t met before, it was nice to see them connecting.

The kids bounced happily on the tramp when they weren’t eating.

Then inside for games. Ticket to Ride, making train journeys across 1900 Europe. Excellent. Separate party playing 500 with our Stephanie.

We missed the tennis (actually some of the neighbours excused themselves at 9.30 because “they had something to do at home”!) but the action here was almost as intense!

A great night of friendship. So easy.
