Reaching our neighbours at Easter

by on March 27, 2013

We’re pretty excited about Easter. Jesus rose from the dead!

We’re also excited about celebrating that with our neighbours here in Canterbury. Lots of people are taking part. And you can help too!

Here’s what’s happening:

FRIDAY: Dramatic storytelling of the Passion story, in twelve locations around the church property (‘stations of the cross’). Followed by short outdoor service. This is such a special event, we love it.

SUNDAY: Community lunch/fun day, with lamb spit roasts, jumping castle and the works.

Followed by Easter service, 4 pm. This is a precious time for our church community to rejoice together in our risen Lord.

Distributed: 4000 invites in letterboxes, postoffice, schools, etc.

Expected: around 300-400 local people.

Costs: around $1300 for the Sunday.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Could you sponsor us for one of the items at our Sunday outreach? We don’t have the money to pay for any of it, but that’s never stopped us before!

If you would like to sponsor  this event, to find out how please click on the dropdown menu above called ‘Sponsor our Easter outreach‘, or else
