That’s the question people ask when their world collapses, when life hurts. Like Job.

Now that we’ve finished our adventure in Luke’s Gospel (over the past two years), we’re trying some different stuff in our Sunday gathering preaching times. The next month or so we’re looking at the problem of suffering – a real worry for many who would like to trust in God.

So we’re starting where sufferers so often start: with that question, WHY?

This week, our first topic is: Why do we suffer? What does it mean? What is it for?

I think we might find the bible’s answers surprising.

Looking forward to this new exploration together. One neighbour who suffers constant pain has told me she intends to come along, if she can manage it! Another who is housebound has asked for a transcript of the talks.

It’s clearly a hot topic!
