Storytelling at ESL

by on October 14, 2013

Had the great joy today of telling Jesus’ story of the hired workers in the vineyard, from Matthew 20, to our ESL students.

We have a short segment of Bible story telling at the end of each week’s class. Today the students had been learning about issues of employment and wages and so on in Australia. So the story fitted in perfectly.

A great way to communicate God’s special heart for the neglected and the despised: the last shall be first and the first last in the kingdom of heaven. What an impact this story has for our group of unemployed, disempowered new migrants and refugees!
