Tim Keller’s sad lapse

Just listened to a Keller sermon on Genesis 1. It was a good sermon. Really good. I’d recommend it.

However, he started badly, very badly. “You all know Genesis 1, so I won’t bother to read it out” he said – or words to that effect.

Really?

One of the most wonderful pieces of literature ever penned, so glorious to hear, Keller describes it as ‘the song of creation’. But he doesn’t bother to sing the song. He doesn’t take the time to read the passage. That passage!

Baffled.

I’m not a regular listener. Does he often do this – or was he just having a bad brain day?
